Meet Hornwood’s Principal
Wayne Spears
Wayne Spears is the Principal at Etoile Academy Charter School for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This will be his second year as campus principal for our Hornwood Campus. Wayne graduated from University of Texas Tyler with a Bachelors Degree in Communication. Mr. Spears has served as a lead teacher in multiple grade levels, was ELA Department Chair, and spent the 2022-2023 school year as Principal in Residence at Hornwood. Wayne has also completed the rigorous LENS leadership development program from BES. In his time here he has demonstrated his commitment to the success of Etoile’s students by working hard to create a joyful classroom environment, participating in professional learning opportunities and one on one coaching, and leading his peers in executing Etoile’s mission.
